Phone number information

We are moving our UK land line numbers from 0870 to 0844.

The 0870 calls are charged at the national BT rate of 7.5p per minute of which we receive 0.2p. 0870 numbers at the end of this year will drop in price and will cost users of 0870 numbers from that point on.

0844 will be charged at 5p per minute with no payback to us.

The reason that we like national numbers is all to do with flexability, we can take the same number and link it to any number anywhere in the UK. This allows us to move addresses but keep the same number.

We will be over the next few months be moving most of our calls over to IP Telephones which allow for communications over the internet. the numbers used here are still currently 0870 and 0845, we will be keeping an eye on how these work out.

The move to 0844 and 0845 will lower the cost of making calls to us against the 0870 numbers. and will keep our cost in check.
