With the withdrawal of the Psion workabout we have been looking for replacement units and based on specification and price have decided to use the Casio range of handhelds, these load automatically from Roundsman and are suitable for retail or semi-retail rounds. The standard machines can handle a round of up to 600 calls, with all the customer details, but can be easily upgraded for greater numbers.

Customers are displayed on the hand held computer in the order they are delivered to, plus a display of products. The system tightens cash accounting procedures, controls round stock and prevents unauthorised discounting.

We now have a depot stock control system for Roundsman based on the Casio IT3000. Book out to the rounds as well as returns and breakages, can be handled. Full depot stock control can be run on this unit, accepting depot deliveries, giving the depot controller the potential to have full depot stock control.

The IT3000 delivers a true single handed operation with class-leading computing power.

Standard configuration is 64Mb of RAM and an Intel® PXA255 Application Processor (Max. 400 MHz) running Windows.net. It has touch screen abilities which are used in our new systems.
